Rohit Chand Likely To Travel To UK This Week; To Play Against Tottenham Hotspur

If everything goes as per the plan, Nepal star defender, Rohit Chand is likely to go to UK this week or next week for a trail with English Club.



Chand will join Kettering Town FC - Blue Square Bet side - and will train with the team for a week. It is learned that Chand will also play some matches for KTFC.

The official representative of Nepalese teenager Rohit Chand says the centre-half could turn down interest from two Premier League sides to sign for Kettering Town.

The 19-year-old spent last season at Bangalore side Hindustan Aeronautics Limited S.C. and made 18 appearances as they finished 12th in the Indian League.

French outfit Lille, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are also said to be interested in the promising youngster, who has already made 14 appearances for the Nepal national side.

Nepal head coach, Graham Roberts - who is working hard to get Rohit to UK - exclusively told Newshamro that the deal with the European Club for Chand was possible.

"I just got an information from my agent that French side Rennes has also shown interest in him", Roberts added, "But Rohit will go to UK first and will train with KTFC for a week. The scouts from Arsenal, Tottemham and from other Clubs will watch him in the matches that KTFC play. He will also play against Tottenham. Rohit needs to prove his worth. He needs to perform 150% on the pitch during the trail period".
