Gone are the days when you could apply for a TR or PR without meeting the IELTS criterion. From July first, your visa application will be refused if you applied for a PR or TR without meeting the required English language threshold.
Explaining the new point test, DIAC's website says, 'Eligible family members can sponsor applicants on a subclass 176 or subclass 886 visa, however no points are awarded.' How confusing!! It seems that the applicants sponsored by their relatives will require lower pass marks.That would be the same as what it is now.
